Harrr! (This being Talk Like A Pirate day, the affectation seems
entirely reasonable.)

You consider Faux Nooze to be a "handler" for me?

Oh dear! You are monitoring frequencies Way out of the range of
reasonable folks.

>The public schools are the foundation of statism,

Nonsense. The usual denotative definition of Statism requires such
things be entirely under the control of a Central Gubmint entity --
not diversified all over the landscape the way they have historically
been in this republic.

The trend is bothersome, I quite agree -- but then I've opposed the
centralization trend for decades. I continue to do so.
Unfortunately, there are those who believe that Someone Else from
Somewhere Else can do a better job of funding local public schools
than can local folks. I find that ridiculous, personally, but The
Voters will do what they will do.

And why are You the way you are, and don't?

Public schools have served the nation rather well over the centuries.

>You're envious of those that are more successful than you.

Not even in the Least. I am at a point in my own life where there are
comparatively few who are "more successful" than I am, and those who
are by and large don't have anything that I want.

Well, perhaps with the exception of that 1966 Corvette convertible
that I'd like to own once again, but otherwise I live Very
comfortably, don't want for anything I desire, and am generally quite
happy with how things have worked out.

But then, I worked hard enough to get where I am, and Wanting what you
Have is probably a superior take to Wanting what you neither have nor
need.

Were you to lay it all out, I'm one of those Murken Success Stories
that you read about, now and again. I earned my money the best (not
always the hardest) way -- by working for it, investing it wisely and
not running myself into personal debt up to mine ears.

Well, my financial advisor and I don't find that there's any
particular Truth to your natterings about a subject of which you can
demonstrate precisely No actual knowledge. There are several
Libertoonians hereon who like to prattle about such stuff.

When I depart this Mortal Coil, I figure to fund some causes that I
have supported through my years in some quite substantial amounts.
None of those will be Libertoonian causes, however. Which seems only
reasonable, since the Libertoonians don't fund them either.

You know naught whereof you speak -- which is a Libertoonian
characteristic. Philosopher-Kings tend to be rather like that, in my
considerable experience with them.
