Carr must not have watched much game film on how to defend the spread
offense. You give the Ducks all the short stuff, never let them throw down
field on you, let them run up and down the field between the 20's, wait for
them to make mistakes, and play hard nosed defense in the red zone so you
defend a shorter field. I couldn't believe Carr dared the Ducks to throw
the long ball. Part of Meat Chicken's problems are with the coaches not
getting the team prepared to play effectively. And that doesn't take away
from what the Duck accomplished because the Ducks took what UM gave them.
