: a.. Halftime: Vanderbilt 41, Kentucky 11
: a.. Worst half of basketball by a Kentucky team I've seen. Bar none.
: b.. Even that half at Kansas on Jan. 7, 2006 wasn't this bad. UK trailed
:41-19 at intermission in that one.
: c.. Kentucky took 15 shots and committed 12 turnovers in the first half.
: d.. The Cats were 3-of-15 from the floor for 20 percent.
: e.. Vandy was 15 of 26 from the floor for percent.

This game just shows me what level of talent UK has had the
entire year. They have had a string of miracle wins IMO. I
really expected almost all of their games to be this way
this year before Smith left town. I expected a lot of them
anyway.
The fact that Gillispe has kept the Cats in the thick of the
SEC race is nothing short of amazing. Look back at how they
played early in the year. That's the real level of talent
this team has. Yet they have been winning. It's hard to
win them all when your level of talent is so much lower than
the opponents. I'm just glad as heck that the Cats have
done as well as they have.
This season isn't over either. I expect more great things
from this team. They were intimidated by the stupid floor
at Vandy for one thing. Most teams are their first time in
that place. And UK is playing a lot of first timers really.
Only Bradley and Crawford have any real experience. And
let's face it they weren't that good until this year.
I'm not going to get down because of this loss. I just see
it as proof what a great job of coaching G has done this
year. Just wait until he fills the bench with talent. We'll
see UK's revenge for this game in a short time. If UK plays
them in the SEC tourney Vandy better be ready because the
Cats will be.
