Hey I fully agree with most of what you said: JoePa vs S&S, check.
Stoops, good coach, check. Needs to watch his players, check.
But this being a joke ... maybe. It is easy for him to follow his
comment w/ "It's a Joke." And maybe he meant it too. But at the same
time, his dig might have been exactly what it sounded like - an attack
on the integrity of the OU program*. As a coach, I don't care who you
are, that just isn't something you do.
As far as JoePa - easy for him to go after a bunch of coaches he
doesn't have to play year in, year out. When they are on your
conference schedule, and you have to travel there this year, maybe it
would be better to hold the jokes in check.
And maybe this comment, right now doesn't mean jack. I can guarantee
you that a copy of this has been saved in a drawer for the A&M game
and come Oct 28, that news clipping is going to be blown up and pasted
on the locker room bulletin board.
