Subject: Has anyone heard anything about this?

-- Jared Powell

I'm getting word right now from unnamed sources that UK basketball point guard Ramel Bradley has been pulled over on
south campus on University Drive. He has been searched by the campus police and was in custody for possible further
questioning. There is no definite word right now on the reason for his being pulled over or what exactly the police are
searching for. This is likely not a big deal, but stay tuned just in case.

The current facts:

a.. Ramel was driving a G-35
b.. He was with what is assumed to be his girlfriend
c.. Campus Police were searching his trunk thoroughly
d.. He was pulled over at the turn by the library and the K-B complex, known as "the 90"
UPDATE!

Here is the crime report from UK police on the incident: last record on september the 7th. - Just change the search
dates from september 6 to sep. 8, it is the last record for the day at 22:00 (10 PM).

A lot of that is jargon to me, but a few things you can take from it:

a.. It's categorized as theft. What motivation would Ramel Bradley have to steal anything? Could mean it was campus
police boredom.
b.. This does verify that what I heard was actually happening. It doesn't, however, yet verify that the subject was
Ramel Bradley, though I tend to trust my sources.
c.. The disposition is closed: so whatever was happening has already been resolved.
Looks like, so far, we can breathe a little easier. However, campus police may have some explaining to do...

And if anyone understands crime reports, see if you can tell me what that crime description means. If you can, do so in
the comment area below in white.

UPDATE #2!

I just got off the phone with Major Monroe of the UK Police Department. The major informed me that he wasn't aware of
any high-profile incidents yesterday, but that he couldn't know any information without speaking to the officer
involved. I asked him if he could do that for me, he obliged, and I left him my call-back number. So, my best guess
would be I don't get a returned call. BUT, it is encouraging that he would not be aware of it. I would think that if the
incident was major and involved Ramel, everyone in the department would be aware of it. This, for now, is good news.
Stay tuned, and if he is to call back, I will post any information right on this here blog.
